Metal Forming
Our products range are used in the finishing stands of a hot rolling mill to reduce the friction between the work rolls and strip.
Load reductions on the stand can range from 10-35%, this is depending on the steel types, reduction, gauge and the effectiveness of the wiper system.
The RI-LAMIN range of products encompass both dispersion and emulsion technologies.
RI-LAMIN HD Series oils encompass dispersion technology for the rolling of both sheet and template steels.
RI-LAMIN TM-S and RM-S Series oils are used as emulsions in sheet rolling, they are suitable for reversing mills, coil fed tandem mills and continuous/coupled tandem mills.
RI-LAMIN DR Series oils are used as dispersions in double rolling of thin steel (DCR Mills), they are suitable for reductions of up to 45% single pass.
RI-LAMIN TM-T Series oils are used as emulsions for thin steel "tinplate" rolling, they are suitable for both coil fed tandem mills and continuous/coupled tandem mills.
RI-LAMIN ZM Series oils are used for Sendzimir and cluster mills. These are suitable for mild steel, stainless and many other hard alloys.
RI-LAMIN SP - S100 is a good example of leading edge technology.
Many temper fluids provide rust protection for less than 10 days in storage, however, with a 10% solution of RI-LAMIN SP - S100 up to 1-3 months rust free storage is possible.
RI-LAMIN SP - G100 has been designed with the strict quality requirements of the automotive industry in mind (strip roughness, even surface aspect and a high level of cleanliness).
RI-DET are a strong alkaline cleaners designed for use in continuous processing of steel, application by spray on coil line providing a very good and effective cleaning on Cold Rolled Steel surface prior to the coating process.
RI-COAT are protective oils used for steel at the exit of the pickle line, after the anneal/temper process or for coated steels.
The products are formulated with selected highly refined paraffin base oils and blended with specific polar additives. They provides rust protection for at least six months for coils stored indoors. The protection time for external storage will depend on the storage conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.).
Metal Working
The RI-MEC Series can be used for grinding of work rolls from both the hot and cold rolling plants.
The product is readily emulsifiable in water (even in water of relatively high hardness) and has good resistance to bacterial attack.
Aluminium Sector
RI-LAMIN ALH Series are emulsifiable hot rolling oils, mineral oil based containing a blend of selected additives to suit a broad spectrum of alloys for hot rolling mill.
The formulation is normally tailored to the requirements of individual mills.
RI-LAMIN AL Base Series are Paraffinic Petroleum distillates aromatic free, available either for strip cold rolling or for foil cold rolling.
Good annealing characteristics.
RI-LAMIN AL Base Series are compatible with High pressure Hydraulic fluids RI-LAMIN AL 400 Series.
FDA certified for food contact applications afterwards (FDA 21 CRF 178.3620).
Available Package "Additive and Base OIl" ready for use.
Excellent control of the rolling parameters and general defects is achieved through the usage of tailor made blends of synthetic Fatty Alcohols, Esters (and Organic Acids) and Additives.
Cold Rolling Additives RI-LAMIN AL 300 Series designed for Strip Rolling are complex formulated products for allowing performance improvements.
These taylor made products meet most of Mills features and Base Oilsrequirements.
They are, also, fully compatible with our no-staining Hydraulic Fluid for High Pressure systems RI-LAMIN AL 400.
Our Technical Assistance will provide all necessary instructions for the additives balance, during usage and ageing phenomena.
Cold Rolling Additives RI-LAMIN AL 200 Series designed for Foil Rolling are FDA certified for food contact applications afterwards [FDA 21 CRF 178.3910] and for Kosher requirements.
These taylor made products meet most of Mills features and Base Oilsrequirements.
They are, also, fully compatible with our no-staining Hydraulic Fluid for High Pressure systems RI-LAMIN AL 400.

RI-LAMIN AL 400 Series consist of a special blend of fatty alcohol and additives specifically designed for high pressure hydraulic systems of aluminium cold rolling mills.
These products have a very high stability against oxidation and high antifoaming properties.
After annealing foil is free of staining even after heavy leaks of RI-LAMIN AL 400 Series.
Chrome-free acid product, specifically designed for continuous pre-painting treatment of Aluminium.
RI-PRIME 410 is used in water solution via spray, dip or chemcoater application.
Product suitable for "Yellow" chromate conversion/passivation. The coatings obtained is a pre-treatment prior to painting or plastic lamination, with high anticorrosion properties also without subsequent passivation.
RI-PRIME 406 is available for spray or dip application.
Product suitable for "Green" chromate conversion/passivation. The coatings obtained is a pre-treatment prior to painting or plastic lamination, with high anticorrosion properties also without subsequent passivation.
RI-PRIME 416 is available for spray or dip application.
Chromium based product, no rinse, used for pre-treatment process. Provides a very good paint adhesion and enhances the corrosion resistance.
RI-PRIME 506 can be applied via chemcoater or spray and squeege system.
Chromium free product, no rinse, used for pre-treatment process. Provides a very good paint adhesion and enhances the corrosion resistance.
RI-PRIME 555 can be applied via chemcoater.
RI-PASS 230 is a NO-RINSE product, Cr free, based on metal organic compounds suitable passivation of all material before their painting or plastic coating.
RI-PASS 230 is compatible to food contact application.
RI-DET 130 Series are high concentration products suitable for multi-metal cleaning in spray or dip application.
RI-DET 120 Series are high concentration products suitable for specific applications, where it's request a top level cleanliness of aluminium surface, while keeping and improving its brightness.
Available for spray or dip application.
RI-DET 140 Series are high concentration products suitable for specific alloy where it's required a smooth surface prior painting.
They are normally used in combination with additive RI-DET 149 F.

Metal Surface Treatment
Additives for rinsing water after pickling. RI-ADDIN Series are able to protect the steel from oxidation spots after drying or during the short line-stop and improve the strip wettability.
The process of preparing a surface of metals, prior application of a paint, is commonly named: metal pre-treatment..
The process is based by a chemical reaction and metals surface conversion, basically creating a physical barrier that will protect metal against corrosion.
The type of chemicals conversion are depending by metal to be treated.
Moreover the surface pre-treatment industry is moving in the direction of more environmentally friendly technologies, due the limitation of use of Heavy metals like Cr,Co, Ni and more.
For the time being we are able to supply all the above mentioned pre-treatment process.
Product no rinse used for pre-painting process for galvanized steel, aluminium and cold rolled steel.
RI-PRIME 506 improves the paint adhesion and enhances the corrosion resistance.
Product chromium free, no rinse, used for pre-painting process for galvanized steel and CRS.
Compatible with any kind of paint, RI-PRIME 555 improves the paint adhesion and the corrosion resistance.
RI-PASS 300 Series are organic multi metal products to improve the corrosion resistance and delivering good anti-fingerprint properties.
RI-PASS 200 Series are passivation products free from fluoride.
They are suitable passivation of HDG, EG and Galvalume.
They provide to the treated surface a very good corrosion resistance.
RI-DET are a strong alkaline cleaners designed for use in continuous processing of steel, application by spray on coil line providing a very good and effective cleaning on Cold Rolled Steel surface prior to the coating process.
The Pickle Inhibitors RI-INHIB are water soluble products that prevent over pickling of steel in the acid pickling baths, thus limiting the gauge variation during line stops to acceptable levels.
